Do I need to create an account?

Using the Satellite Map

How do I search for a location?
Simply type any location into the search box at the top of the map. You can search for:
  • City names (e.g., "Paris, France")
  • Landmarks (e.g., "Eiffel Tower")
  • Addresses (e.g., "1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC")
  • Natural features (e.g., "Grand Canyon")
  • Coordinates (e.g., "40.7128, -74.0060")
As you type, suggestions will appear to help you find the right place.
How do I zoom in and out?
You can zoom using several methods:
  • Click the + and - buttons in the top-left corner of the map
  • Use your mouse scroll wheel
  • Double-click to zoom in on a specific area
  • On touch devices, pinch to zoom
What satellite imagery provider do you use?
Our main website uses Bing Maps aerial imagery, which provides high-quality satellite and aerial photography covering the entire globe. Our Firefox extension can redirect you to either Google Earth or Bing Satellite based on your preference.

How do I use the Earth Search extension?
After installing the extension, simply type "Earth" followed by any location in Firefox's address bar and press Enter. For example:
  • Earth Grand Canyon
  • Earth Tokyo Japan
  • Earth Statue of Liberty
You'll be instantly redirected to satellite imagery of that location.
Can I switch between Google Earth and Bing Satellite?
Yes! The extension allows you to choose your preferred satellite imagery provider. You can switch between Google Earth and Bing Satellite in the extension settings.
How do I uninstall the extension?
To uninstall, go to Firefox Menu > Add-ons and themes > Extensions, find "Earth Search" and click Remove. For detailed instructions, see our uninstall guide.
